As a National Pitching certified coach, JA Pitching offers advanced, scientifically proven instruction and training for baseball players, coaches, and organizations. We help pitchers increase velocity and functional strength by eliminating mechanical inefficiencies so players can reduce their risk of injuries and develop their skills.

These fundamentals help pitchers of all skill levels improve their game and pitch faster, harder, and with higher levels of accuracy. Our National Pitching program helps players reduce their risk of injury from improper mechanics and poor conditioning.


The National Pitching program is the only training program certified by the Institutional Review Board (IRB). The IRB includes orthopedic doctors, sports physiologists, kinesiologists, nutritionists, sports psychologists, and other specialists who evaluate, monitor, and approve the Tom House program studies and processes.

At National Pitching, we don’t just offer lessons, we offer a comprehensive program to help athletes be the best they can be. Our pitching program is based on health, science, and biomechanical studies to help players get results. Our National Pitching program gives you the tools you need to take control of your progress as a pitcher. From diet guidelines to take-home workouts, we are here to help athletes see progress and develop skills for years to come. We also help our athletes of all ages learn to keep a positive mindset for success in the game and in life. S.T.A.T. represents the following:

  • Screening for Weak Links

  • Testing for Point in Time Capacity

  • Accessing for Efficiency of Movement, Strength, and Flexibility

  • Training for Efficient Movement, Muscle Balance, Velocity, and Neuro-Muscular Speed Thresholds


This is a proprietary screening test created by Tom House Sports that is designed to thoroughly screen where your deficiencies in regards to your ability to generate velocity, so that an athlete can hyper-focus on those strength and conditioning exercises and pitching drills needed to throw harder easier and healthier.


What we are looking for is a balance between acceleration muscles (front side of body) and the deceleration muscles (back side of body).  Why is that important? The body cannot accelerate any more than it is capable of decelerating, so if they are not kept in balance, a rotational athlete will not achieve their highest velocity capabilities. They are also much more susceptible to muscle fatigue, chronic soreness, and other rotational deficiencies.  


Testing will be a variety of arm speed tests, torso speed tests, and leg balance & strength testing.

From the data we collect, we can identify exactly an athlete’s current and potential velocity capacity. If an athlete is not currently reaching his/her capacity, we can identify and isolate which weak link is contributing to that failure.  This testing specifically addresses the functional strength and speed threshold component of velocity capacity.

The test takes approximately 90 minutes and then there will be a 30 minute follow up via Zoom to review the results.


**JA Pitching will travel up to 10 miles from Broomall, PA for STAT Testing to a field or facility secured by the client, or client must travel to Broomall, PA for the in-person lesson.
