IN-SEASON ARMCARE MEMBERSHIP

The JA Pitching In-Season Arm Care Membership is provided to help maintain arm health and proper mechanics during the season.  Arm care is more than just following recommended pitch counts, but rather a comprehensive approach that includes proper hydration, nutrition, sleep, warm up, mechanics, adaption, workload balance, functional strength, mobility and training in your appropriate window of trainability.

Your arm is like a bank account and when you throw, you take energy out of your arm. You want to make sure you put that energy (and more) back into your arm between outings.

If your throwing workload during the previous week in games was heavy, you will focus on putting energy back into your arm during your sessions. If your throwing workload was lighter than normal, you can get in a throwing session and/or bullpen to stay sharp and keep your arm adapted to the workloads you typically handle.

These sessions will be customized to your individual needs to keep you ready to perform at a high level throughout the season.  Before each session, you will fill out a short questionnaire and a workout/throwing game plan will be provided to you.

Sessions can include (based on your individual needs that day):

  • National Pitching Association/Tom House Sports training blocks designed to put foot pounds of energy back into your arm.

  • Bullpen or throwing sessions to keep your arm adapted for your normal workloads or to work on increasing your workload capacity and/or to stay sharp if you did not pitch a lot the previous week.

  • ArmCare app strength testing to monitor arm and shoulder strength and balance, and diagnose fatigue before fatigue leads to pain and subsequent injury.

  • Marc Pro Stim machine use to aid/speed up your recovery process.

  • General education on proper arm care and performance.

Memberships are $250/month which gives you the option to attend up to three 1-hour sessions each week to work on arm care and recovery. While you can attend all three sessions each week, the goal of providing 3 day/time options is to provide flexibility during the busy season to make sure you attend at least 1 session per week.

Session Options:

  • Sundays - 8pm-9pm

  • Mondays - 8pm - 9pm

  • Wednesdays - 8pm-9pm

Each session limited to 12 athletes. You do not need to be a pitcher to participate. All position players including softball players are welcome to participate.

**This program does not take the place of or act as a medical professional evaluation. Arm pain/injuries may require you to consult a trained medical professional for proper diagnosis.
